Dr. Anshul Varshney is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a strong foundation in medical innovation, surgical expertise, and vision research. With over two decades of medical experience, Dr. Varshney is the Founder and President of Chino Hills Eye & Laser Center, where he specializes in advanced medical and surgical eye care with a patient-centered approach.
Dr. Varshney earned his M.D. from the University of California, Irvine, and completed both Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology training at Loma Linda University Medical Center and Tulane University School of Medicine. He further enhanced his clinical skills through an externship in refractive surgery with the U.S. Navy and a specialized ophthalmology program at Stanford University.
He is experienced in a wide range of ophthalmologic procedures including cataract surgery, LASIK/PRK (VISX and Intralase certified), eyelid repairs (blepharoplasty, ptosis, ectropion/entropion), Ahmed valve placements, and trabeculectomies. He also has deep expertise in intravitreal injections (Avastin, Lucentis, Kenalog), PRP and focal laser therapy, and YAG and SLT laser treatments.
As a physician innovator, Dr. Varshney is the co-inventor of a patented medical device (U.S. Patent #7004961) designed for selective CNS hypothermia to treat brain and spinal cord injuries. His research has explored multiple frontiers—from genetic sequence analysis of angiotensin receptors to the treatment of homonymous hemianopia and metastatic ocular breast cancer.
Dr. Varshney has presented his work at prestigious forums such as the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) and Grand Rounds at Loma Linda University. His recognized contributions include research on mucormycosis, posterior capsule opacification, ocular lymphoma, and post-herpetic neuralgia.

Dr. Varshney currently serves on the Grandview Medical Plaza Board of Directors as Treasurer and is credentialed at Saint Francis Medical Center and Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center. He is also a former Board Member of the Bren Events Center at UC Irvine.
