Applied Biomedicals Appoints Dr. Roberto Pietro Antonacci, M.D. to Executive Board

Placentia, CA June 27, 2025 – Applied Biomedicals is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Roberto Pietro Antonacci, M.D. to its Executive Board, marking a significant milestone in the company’s mission to advance innovation in diagnostic medicine, precision imaging, and patient-centered care.

Dr. Antonacci brings with him over two decades of distinguished leadership and clinical excellence in the field of diagnostic imaging and women’s health. Currently serving as Chief Medical Officer of Green Express Med, LLC, and President of both Suffolk Breast Imaging, PC and North Shore Regional MRI, PC, Dr. Antonacci is widely regarded as a trailblazer in medical imaging, breast cancer screening, and healthcare operations.

His appointment reflects Applied Biomedicals’ strategic commitment to harnessing clinical expertise and entrepreneurial vision at the highest level of governance. Dr. Antonacci’s unparalleled contributions in founding and scaling advanced multimodality diagnostic centers—featuring 3D mammography, PET/CT, MRI, and mobile imaging services—have transformed access to care for underserved populations, particularly in women’s health.

In addition to his clinical leadership, Dr. Antonacci co-founded MMF Systems, Inc., a pioneering medical information management platform that served over 50 hospital systems nationwide, including Johns Hopkins, Harvard Health, and NewYork-Presbyterian. He successfully raised $15 million in angel funding and led multidisciplinary teams across the U.S., demonstrating exceptional acumen in aligning technology with clinical workflows.

A graduate of Albany Medical College, Dr. Antonacci completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and in Diagnostic Imaging at Brown University School of Medicine, following an Internal Medicine internship at Stony Brook University Hospital.

Dr. Antonacci has also contributed to high-impact research in breast and prostate cancer, and glioblastoma imaging, with publications in leading medical journals and presentations at conferences such as the RSNA Annual Meeting.

His extensive community involvement includes serving as a Board Trustee Member at Harbor Country Day School, an advisor to educational initiatives for autism, and a long-time supporter of breast cancer awareness through partnerships with the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the American Cancer Society.
